The intake with the "Johnny 5" epoxy coating, with the -6 AN fuel rails, -6 AN end fittings and rail supports and the anodized billet water neck would be $895.00

We also offer the intake in a multitude of colors with a baked Cerakote finish too.

The picture shows it with the Holley HP 4150 throttle body and a set of 48 LB./HR. EV-1 style injectors, those two items would be $820.00.

We have package deals on complete intake and EFI systems as well.

The next dedicated EFI intake will be a low profile front or rear mount throttle body style based on the "LS" Hi-Ram top. We also have provisions for a dedicated air to water inter cooler that will sandwich between the top and the mid plenum base. Very similar to what is on "The Raven" the 69 twin turbo RA V Firebird. This will be for more street/strip pro-touring vehicles.

Agree. Lots of missed info up here in stickys. I think there is sufficient 'interest in an EFI section'

Not that I have seen Nick.

I have my setup going with a MS3X, Port EFI, 60-2 wheel, custom cam plug with Explorer cam sensor and LS coils. I am considering COP if I can some that are short enough.

I actually have the car apart and will be going back together in the next few weeks.

Plans are to also tie a controller for a 4L80 in.

Dave

It would be nice to be able to see it in one place. An efi section...

AGREED!
I just had a chat with a Mopar/Roadrunner brother about his FiTech 3x2 system. I have a Promax modded Holley 3x2 system on my 70 Roadrunner.
He had the Direct Connection performance modded (different carbs altogether than stock) mechanical instead of vacuum outboard carbs linkage, and switched to the FiTech 3x2 system. He LOVES it.
After Dick B has a go at our 3 Rochesters, if I, or more importantly my wife, is looking for better performance and reliability, EFI in a 3x2 system is the only way left to go.

We have an optional upgrade for the high flow 11/16" ID fuel rails too.

This intake is setup with a set of 48 lb/hr Holley EV1 style injectors and the Holley 4150 throttle body with a bright silver coating. Both work with the Holley HP or Dominator ECU systems.

This intake is also equipped with our bright dip anodized billet O-ringed swivel water neck.
On my shelf sets an EZ EFI 2.0 TB system that I've been planning to use on a 535, and because it all needs to fit under a Formula hood, been considering a shootout intake. I recognize I'd be leaving some potential on the table with that intake (relative to a Victor or even a Northwind), and so wondering if I would be giving up less if I went multiport, using one of your modified shootouts--either converting the Fast TB system to MP, or starting over with something different?

A Holley HP ECU would work, or one of the others, Big Stuff, AEM, HalTech, MoTec, or the like. You can have injector bungs and rail stands installed on almost any intake. And remember, aftermarket throttle bodies (air only) are considerably lower than a carb, some up to 3" shorter, so you can actually go to a taller intake design. Or use an intake elbow, and an LS style throttle body.

FAST does have an EZ-EFI 2.0 multi-point setup, and think you can even send your TBi ECU in to be flashed. But, FAST is kind of expensive for the general off the shelf type, and you would be better to sell your existing setup as a complete, uninstalled system, and buy another system.

EDIT: On the 'bird, I'm doing a 535, and plan on using a Northwind, and a sniper for now. It will fit under the T/A type hood, even with the drop body mounts I have. Eventually I will go to a MPFI.

I didn't realize the air only throttle bodies were that much shorter, and hadn't even considered an intake and LS style throttle body. This is helpful. These may be my only options if I want to use a taller intake and the stock hood. Ideally, I'd like to use a kit type of deal from a single manufacturer so we can get tech support help when we run into problems.

The Accufab throttle bodies are like 2 3/4" tall, maybe less, I've had one before so know first hand. Oddly, their' website doesn't list height, but sure that's only a phone call away.

https://accufabracing.com/throttle-b...-throttle-body

You can do a low/ultra low rise intake elbow, and run an LS style TB, but you run out of room at the front of the engine, and there can still be interference. Same when you try to go to the rear or side, the side, may have issues clearing the injector rails. To the rear, it can be difficult to setup or fit an intake tube.

Just have to measure and engineer it out. It's not too hard.

Or you could use a Wenzler Gutsram and Holley LS style top.

Not sure if this is helpful, but here's an accufab (dominator) on a dominator victor(superefi), on a 1 inch spacer, with an air cleaner that stands up about an inch(vs a "drop base") They're pretty low profile. Fyi, dont plan on using a drop base without getting really creative, the linkage is close to the tallest part of the assembly, if not the tallest.

Maybe Steve C. will chime in, he has a Victor on a firebird, which he had to mill the carb pad to get to fit. That's with a carb, he is going EFI, though I don't have any current info on that.

If you're going Holley efi - try Glenn Payne at M.A.D racing parts (on the YB forums) for parts. I recently bought my Holley HP efi setup from him, great prices, knowledgeable and helpful and he will only sell you what you need. Quick delivery too.

Just to make sure people are aware, in regards to FAST pricing, but the DEAL on FAST systems is the XFI Sportsman BT. It is the same as the regular XFI Sportsman, except it has a 2-bar MAP, allowing it to be used with Blow Through (hence the "BT") superchargers. It works fine on N/A motors as well, it just has the better MAP. The BT is about $500 LESS than the non-BT Sportsman system, and usually about $200 less than the EZ 2.0.

I also have an unused FAST Dual Sync with the Holley adapter harness, if anyone wants to make an offer.

I just sent a Northwind intake off to be modified for MPFI and port matched to my E-heads which have been cnc ported to 345cfm. My plan is to just run a low profile intake elbow an LS style large diameter throttle body. The overall height should be lower than it would be with the factory air cleaner... so I dont expect to have an issue with hood clearance on the bird.

I still need to figure out coil plug lay outs, tone rings, PCM/tuning and such.

Has there been an EFI section added yet or are we just wishing here?

It seems at this day and age to be a logical forum topic to have. It would help some of us from re-inventing the wheel and for those who have done it to share their experience...

SPEED SAFE, NICK

It would seem that we have enough people here that are either already using efi, in progress, or researching it, that a dedicated section would be justified. And it sure would be nice to be able to go to one place instead of having to search numerous sections...
