Changing rear disc
I have had a soft pedal for a while and decided to change rotors, calipers and pads again. I changed brake pads once in my late twenties and should have done it right the first time. I also remember now why I have waited so long to do this again , not fun. I had to break out the BFH to get one of the rotors off. I think I found the reason for the soft pedal, there was no brake fluid coming out of passenger metal line. So job is not done yet must be crap plugging up line. Anyone have a good line on rear disc metal break lines?

I used SS ones when I freshened my 81 from one of the big line companies.

Anyone know how to reset brake light on dash? I didn’t have time to bleed brakes so pedal went to the floor. We’ll bleed brakes and car actually stops really well now but light is still on. Thanks

Assuming the light isn't on due to the parking brake, the light is on due to the proportioning (combination valve) piston shifting off of center and engaging the switch to turn on the light. It should reset itself after bleeding the lines by pumping the brakes a few times. If this doesn't work then the piston in the combo valve is stuck and not free to easily slide usually due to corrosion inside the valve. I've had this happen to me and what I did was to tap the side of the valve with a hammer while someone pumped the brakes.

Or if there was uneven pressure for some reason it will shift the valve. There is a procedure to hold it down while bleeding.
