Default 1963 Lemans/Tempest convrt...worth ???

I have a friend that wants to sell me his 1963 lemans/Tempest Convertable.It has a 4 cyl. that looks like a v-8 cut in half.All parts and glass are there and it looks like everything is org.My only concerns are that it has alot of rust on the rockers and floors will need replaced.Body parts look good.Also has shiftr on dash?And trans. in rear?
I can have it for $400.00.,is it worth it.Restore or part out????Thanks for your help.

For $400.00, you can get your money back easily if you part it out. If you plan on restoring it, it will take several thousand dollars since nobody makes replacement body parts. If the chrome and trim pieces are nice and free of pits, you will get your money back just from selling just those pieces. Good Luck!!

If the car can be saved by doing floors go for it. Doing floors doesn't have to be proffesional since nobody sees them. Hate seeing these rare cars parted out if they don't have to be. Just my opinion
