Found this number on the right front side of my engine below the head. Can anyone tell me what it means 734293 and below that XU

XU is correct for a 67 290 horse 400. can't help with the # though

Thanks for your reply to my question about the 400. It helps to know. The car has 171,000 with no major motor work.

The #734293 is the Engine Unit Number. If it is the original block to the car, the # would match the unit number info on the Billing History Card that you would receive from PHS.
