Default "PARK" indicator in speedometer

I saw this "PARK" light on an eBay car and can't remember what the story is on them. (CRS). My automatic car doesn't have it. (and my stick shift cars don't)

Is it a console car thing? or an option?

I wondered about that too. Looked familiar, but I can't place it.

My '63 with the floor shift automatic has the light and it illuminates when the park lever is engaged.

The "parking Brake" light was an option and is at the bottom of the speedometer. There is a simple switch on the parking brake pedal that activates it. 3 of my 4 spare spedos have the light.
