San Luis Auto Glass, 524 N. Mission Road, Los Angeles, CA 90033, (323)225-8181, fax (323)857-9195; installed new w/shields in my 66 GTO ($125) and my 68 GP ($145). Fax or call them and see if they will ship (or drop ship from the manufacturer) a windshield for your wagon. What about the TUV?

Hi Catalina400,
If I was you, I'd be looking for a supplier in England. There are quite a few American car parts importers over there. If you need more help, I can find our some names for you. Good luck

OK Catalina400, here's some info. I got this from an English magazine which is dedicated to American car enthusiasts.
URO GLASS Tel +1527 577477 Fax +1527 576577 These guys say that they ship worldwide so I suppose shipping from England to Germany would be just around the corner for them!! PETER JONES Tel +1582 881260 Fax +1582 883287 Cell +7836 208478 This guy says he delivers all over the UK and can arrange fitting ALLGLASS Mobile Services +20 8311 5663 These guys say they arrange windscreens for all American cars. They have a website www.allglass.co.uk I don't know the International dialling codes from Germany so I put a + in front. Let us know if any of these guys can help you. In fact, I would think you could make a weekend trip over to England. Drive over, have the screen fitted and drive home. You will be back on Sunday night just in time for a big feed of Huxen Good luck Ian

You will need to purchase through a distributor. I believe your windshield was originally manufactured by "LOF" Libby, Owens, FOrd. The glass division was sold off to Pilkington Aero. The last time I purchased glass the warehouse was in San Diego, Cal. They were happy to help with questions and availability.

Big Lou,
What I was trying to tell our German friend is that seeing as he lives in Germany and there are several English companies dealing in windscreens for American cars, he would be MUCH better off buying from England. Cost might be (a lot) higher but if he bought from an American company he is going to have to wear the risk of it it getting damaged en-route to Germany. If he buys from England, those guys will be selling to Europe anyway so they will know how to get it to him safely. I still say though that his best option is to take a few days off and drive the car to England (that's easy), have it fitted, pay the man and drive home. Certainly the way I'd be doing it. Cost of a ferry ride including the car is very cheap.

Unless you cannot drive your wagon, I would NOT be taking your BAD VAN.
Take the Catalina, have the screen fitted then drive it home. If the sellers break it while fitting it, then its their problem. If your guys in Germany do it and it gets broken, then YOU have a problem!!!
