89 formula starts and dies
security light comes one after a short start up what do I need to do to straighten out my problem thanx for any help, Ed

Sounds like a key issue. Maybe change the chip in the key and see if that might work.

If the ign. key has a black pellet resistor in it, then the ign lock cylinder is probably bad. There are two wires on them that break off and cannot be repaired. You can bypass the system if you want.

thanx for the help the problem is in the ignition switch i pushed the key in harder and it starts right up you guys are great thanx again Ed

Glad to help. It is the lock cylinder not the ign. switch. They are two seperate parts. It will matter when you go to get it fixed. Just trying to save you some time and money.
