Default 1973 Formula Master cylinder

Shopping for a rebuild kit for the master cylinder on my "73 Formula with power disc front brakes and drums in the rear as delivered from factory. All the kits specify either a shallow hole or deep hole but I have no idea what depth is considered shallow or deep and I don't seem to see it noted anywhere. My current M/C is 1 1/8" wide bore with a 4" deep hole. Is this considered a shallow hole or a deep hole? Thanks in advance.

The MC casting is the same. You need to look at the hole in the back of the plunger. Deep hole is almost an inch deep. Shallow hole looks more like a 1/4 inch divit.

Thank you. That clears it up and it seems that mine has the shallow hole. Thanks for the help!
