Talking 48 years.........

Married today 48 years ago. Time sure has flown.

We have been a good team though. 3 daughters, all super stable with great partners and 4 fantastic grandkids to boot.

My mother and father, both still alive (92 &95) celebrated 75 years together last year. Hope we can make that milestone....

Ian

Congrat Ian, appears you got all your priorities in good order. We all can learn something from your travels (travails). HIS

congratulations!

I can only be so fortunate... the downside to marrying late is that hitting such milestones seem that much more improbable.

Right now the average life expectancy for a north American male is 76 years;
God willing that I live that long (or better), I will celebrate my fortieth anniversary that year.

Hey all,

Thanks everyone for the nice congratulations words. I truly wasn't expecting all that. But very nice anyway.

We have a good relationship. We work together (have done for near on 30 years). I don't get many objections at all if I want to go away with my mates and if she has other things to do it sure doesn't bother me.

Never really hear any objections to my car obsessions but on the other hand, I have always made it a priority that she is comfortable and safe in her car and in the house and it always looks good. Teamwork makes it all click.

Ian
