Sorry I don't remember a number from when Mark showed me a vertical-plane drawing of the chamber/valves. I only remember that it was significantly greater than the .220" limits of my early hemi (no collision at <.220" regardless of cam profiles or lobe separation or phasing).

Scott,
There are a number of factors to my simulations which I don't have. Also like dynos vary from one to another my simulation could vary from other methods of calculating HP. Does your time slip look anything like this?

60 Foot ET = 0.9832
330 Foot ET = 2.5338
1/8 Mile ET = 3.7803
1/8 Mile MPH = 198.4429

Cool

I'm nobody of any particular relevance, as younz know, but there is this 426 Nascar Hemi 4-speed i've been pushing awhile. Ran bigly when pulled in 1973 Talledega race by some Pontiacs guys. 30k only needs carb and shifter-handle to run like a Butler Pontiac. Penske-built from 69 HEMI stuff. note the intake style.

I want it but was told it doesn't come close to fitting a 68 GTO. Sooooo,
Who wants it.....

Scott,
My software is very conservative. HP and torque are not calculated by the simulation but are inputs. I have posted the HP and Torque curve that I used to simulate your run. I am sure that you have data logging. I get a peak of 2.99 G's from the simulation.

Be interesting to know what the dollar cost per HP is on this build.

Let me add:

I don't do FaceBook so I have no idea what is posted there.

Looking at this build I have to wonder if this not a one off or it is just one of a couple. If anyone talks to KRE, I would be interested to know if there is even a cast version of any of these parts. Like heads and blower manifold.

Maybe the billet is proof of concept then make a casting from the finished revision.

One of the things Jeff told me this build will take car of is the valves hitting each other. He is aware of what people are saying about it.
I hope this can be the start of something much bigger for Pontiacs for heavy hitters.
I would like to see their billet RAV head up and running too. We all know what the Boss Bird has done with billet RAVs.

I sure would hope so. I talked about that happening on a Hemi that came out in 1964. I sure hope something has been learned since then.

Let me also add

The Crane cam that I was talked about had 296 degrees duration @ 0.050" lifter raise.

He said they are going to make sure nothing hits with the build. I have no idea how similar this is to a Chrysler Hemi but I bet with big cams things get close.
The old MT heads did not flow that much, maybe this will prove a good starting going to making serious power down the road.
No one makes more serious Pontiac race parts than KRE.

Kre has stepped up their game from when I dealt with them 15 plus years ago. They do have a good selection of parts. Quality castings maybe these day's ? I have not even looked at their stuff in years. I believe the reason the Butler's never made their own head was the e head did what they wanted it to and it was a bad investment.
