Default Jim Wangers

"Thank you" to POCI's Smoke Signals for reporting on Jim Wangers' 93rd birthday celebration. And "thanks" to all those club members who attended!

Agree with you Jack, great article. I had the pleasure of driving Jim to his 85th birthday party at the 2011 nationals in Portland. I'll never forget the death grip he had holding his toupee on as we drove down Marine Drive to Blue Lake Park in my 64 convertible, top down of course. Have had some great memories with the man.

Met and talked with Jim several times when he came to the Central Valley in CA for the small annual local show. What a genuinely nice and classy guy. Nothing but best wishes and deep respect for the man.

Here's the birthday card I had made for him for his 93rd birthday party. I've seen him twice this week, but I can't seem to find the pictures of the visits.

I surely hope he will have more "great days" with visits from all you Pontiac club members!

'Old Man'- tell Jim sometime that I'm still enjoying the heck out of the 'Bandit' Suburban.

Nice article in Smoke Signals about the birthday party. Really nice that lots of his Pontiac friends can visit him regularly. Wish him the best.
