I need to paint the lower metal part of my 68 gto dash. Has anyone done this with canned spray paint? If so what brand and type? I have dupli-color semi-gloss enamel on it now but it almost looks to glossy.

I don't think it's high gloss. More of medium gloss. Body shops can usually mix the gloss that's required but they use their spray guns to do it. The GTO Resto book gives you the specs and there are quite a few guys here that know exactly what you'll need.

In My restoration book it is listed as a 60% gloss black. You should be able to have a local paint shop mix that up for you.
