whats the trick to getting chrome/aluminum paint to dry? Ive tried both and they never seem to dry and I cant clear coat it without it getting all cloudy. Trying this on the dash vents.

Well, I tried a different method. I found some chrome tape at Advaced Auto under the name "Chrome Brite" manufactured by TrimBrite. A little careful work with the exacto and I have what looks like chrome again. It looks a lot better than the paint, I only hope it stays on. I think I may try and clear coat it to seal it on...

How bendable is the chrome tape? I need to re-do the chrome trim on my door panels. It's a large oval shape with tight bends. Will it work?

its not real flexible. the box say "semi-rigid material will not conform around compound curves".
all mine is on a flat surface, but its 3" wide and 60 inches long and for 10 bucks its worth a try!

3" wide? Geez, that's not gonna be flexible at all. I've seen this stuff for sale in 1/8" and 3/32" widths. Maybe Eastwood...
