I'm not smokin crack, but maybe Ron is. That would explain where all our money went. In the meantime, I'm having huge fitment problems with a set of Doug's. The fun never ends!

Crack or alcohol, if it was pot the project never would have started. Maybe AA can get me my Tri-Y's.

Default Headers still owed

I paid $489.00 on 2/24/05. I guess I feel better than most. I did not pay for the coating ahead of time, because I wanted to research the the product with more widely known coaters. However, I did send Ron ball and socket collector adapters the last time he was more communicative. So that mistake adds another $65.00 to the total.

It's Napa California, but I can't remeber the address. I'll have to look back through my e-mails and PM's.

I think Ron is waiting for a bailout from the Bush administration!

Man I got sh&t a few years back for yanking my money from that Homo! Glad I did. A few guys even thought he would make good! Yeah right! If he still owed me money I go break his fu&king legs!

Where are all of the Ron lovers now!

Regretfully, I was one of those Ron "cheerleaders". He called me often during that time and was truly sincere about the project. The guy contracted a header company and as promised, delivered on the first "run" of headers to many happy customers.
He started getting more orders after that and really tried to make the process work for the second go-round but didn't have the right "business plan" in order to undertake the venture. He got in over his head, sold his Firebird and some of his own collection of valuable pontiac parts (ram air 5) to raise money but it just didn't workout for him.
Unfortunately, some guys lost money and I lost a set of irreplaceable headers in the process, so I feel the same as others who were screwed.

so give me the straight poop..he didnt make the headers himself?..he contracted out to somebody?..did he do the design work even?..or was he just a middle man, looking to scam the fat off?...

if ya have a real gripe with him, pm me with the details..if ya have any receipts, even better..i will take some time to track him down..if he is in the area still, i will do what i can..i really hate bull-sheeters who take dollars from honest god -fearing folks

I have all the e-mails to document what happened and I still have the 700 dollar money order receipt that I sent to him.

I think what Larry said is pretty accurate, because I talked to him alot too, and I really think he was telling the truth, but he has to be the unluckiest, worst prepared and unorganized guy that I have ever dealt with. You should have heard some of the crazy hard luck stories he told me.

Bottom line is he made everybody pay up front, and then never delivered. There will be plenty of BS if you get to talk to him. He might even talk you out of some money after you feel so sorry for him.

The first run of headers were fabbed by Doug's. After having some business issues during that time, he decided to invest in a mandrel bender and do the work himself. He wasn't a welder so he had an uncle do that side of it. I can't recall but he had problems with him not showing up. He sent me a picture of a bin-full of header pieces that he produced but all he needed was the welding done. Yeah, he had alot of hard luck issues which eventually caused him some health problems as well.

When I last talked to him (about 2 years ago) he was working here:

The Corners Cafe & Shopping Plaza
6005 Monticello Road
Napa, CA 94558
707-258-8138

Maybe someone should call and see what his latest line of bs is.
