wow, some other nutter ran a pair of Lund scoops on their 71-72 hood - but this time with a hood tach! I was thinking of mounting one on mine as it is being repainted...
My scoops are a bit further apart and functional with a custom built air cleaner. |

[QUOTE=Scarebird;6117120]... a hood tach! I was thinking of mounting one on mine as it is being repainted...
There appears to be many hood tachs available; two here at ames; and I see a few on ebay. I've had some bad luck with hood tachs but I will need to buy another because I've got the hole there. I'd be curious which one you select. I do know that the one I bought from ebay is the oldest and sluggish these days but still works. The two I bought from PY both died young. They all looked very similar but had different mounting bolt locations and varied in length; so once you buy one brand; you may be committed to that brand after paint. |

F Rock: good to know - I had no idea the tachs have reliability issues.

400th page up
Just saw that we are now on the 400th page of this thread.
And 10 years and 2 weeks to get here!!!!! 7997 replies to date. Apart from The Clubhouse "Babe of the Day", is there any other thread that has gone so long (and shows no sign of dying). And almost exactly 6 years since the OP was last heard of????? And I wonder how many of these cars are still out there looking for a new owner
