Be aware, if you get some of the Bondo product above from Amazon, it may be a bad batch or expired. I mixed up two different batches, neither of them cured are were a huge mess to clean up ... using MEK ... which is not the healthiest thing in the world.

Went back and checked the recent Amazon reviews ... tons of people having the same problem. Evidently the product only has a shelf life of about 1 year. I've mixed thousands of batches of epoxy, first time I've had this problem.

I think I'll try the 3M packaging ... probably same product but perhaps they don't let it sit around till it expires like Amazon.

I'd like to get more of the Bondo packaging because it's the right size for the speed I work, but kind of afraid to try again for a fresh batch. Do I need the special gun to apply the 3M product?

BTW, while cleaning the goo off the bumper with MEK and a tooth brush I noticed areas of the bumper that got incredibly clean and smooth using it. I mean like new beautiful and smooth. I had previously sandblasted the paint off the bumper down to what appeared to be the blackish/gray surface. The MEK seemed to take off some kind of primer that was still on it. Now it's a lighter gray and super smooth .... where it's not damaged of course.

I used a die grinder with a sharp, new rounded end bit to dig out the damaged areas, worked very nice and left a nice depression for filling.

Wow that stinks! Yeah I didn't end up even using the bondo brand I mixed it up just to see the difference in the 2. I have always trusted the 3m brand so I went that route.

You will need the special gun if you buy the twin tube cartridges. 3M sells the same product in squeeze tubes.

To be honest it's not clear from the photos if what I bought is in the squeeze tubes or the applicator tubes ... I'll find out in a few days. I'll buy the gun if necessary since the product seems useful for a lot more than just Endura bumpers.

Yeah, what a mess, stuff was half cured, super sticky ... and I'm somewhat allergic to epoxy, so no fun, and I had to do it twice because I thought I might have gotten the matching amounts off. However .... from the half cured stuff I could tell that it's the **** for this kind of repair, can't wait to see how the proper stuff turns out.

And .... evidently I touch my groin too much ... as that was where the slight allergic reaction manifested itself this time. Sorry if that's TMI next time gloves

I haven't seen the tube style, the part number I posted is for the large squeeze tubes. If you got that part number your good to go!
