Default '68 Ram Air Round port manifolds

Has anyone tried the Ram Air Manifolds for 68 and up GTOs on a '66-'67. Where do the hit? Is it the frame/cross member or the steering shaft?

Bought a set of RA II exhaust manifolds that were installed on a 65. Passenger side was not modified but driver side had a mount removed and relocated and was clearanced to avoid interference. Also when removed from 65 one of the mounting ears broke but it was one added for fitment in 65 chassis. See pics. Pics with manifold not coated were when modified. Pics with manifolld coated are after i had them repaired to stock configuration.

The 67 manifolds have 3 bolts per pipe flange. 68 have 2 bolts one side, 3 the other.

Therefore for a 66-67 car, the 67 manifolds will seal better.

True. However there were not any round port heads or exhaust manifolds for those years. To modify the factory round port manifolds it appears the driver side needed a mounting tab removed for frame clearance and relocated. The groove in manifold appears to be for upper control arm clearance.

Usually agree with Geoff, but my 67 HO that I factory ordered came with the 2 and 3 bolt manifolds. Fremont 2-67 build.
