Default 1960 bonneville convertable

Hi I am familiar with A body but not with the big Pontiac. I have a line on a 60 Bonneville convertable . Has not been out of the garage for about 40 years. I saw it about 10 years ago an at first look it looked in great shape. I did not see any rust in the quarters. Tires were all flat. The 85 year old lady would not even let me touch it just look at it. It probably haven’t run in 20 plus years. My question is what to look for in that year car. Prone to rust and where to look? Interchange parts with any other year? Collectible? The lady has passed and the estate has called me about the car as I was the last one to see it. It’s blue with a blue Tri-tone interior with a white top if my memory is correct. Looking for what it’s worth. Hope to get pictures soon from the lady’s daughter. The car is in a suburb of Chicago .

A very collectible car. Check floor, rockers, trunk floor etc. Buckets??
I did a resto on a similar car 15 years ago.

Steve
Thanks for the info. Looks like it’s similar in the rust areas to a A body. I don’t remember if it had buckets. It was a long time ago. I don’t know if it’s the right car for me but if it’s not I will post it on the for sale here. Have to wait for pictures and more info from the daughter.

Steve, do you still own that Bonneville? It would have been a very hard call to let it go.

Ian, I sold it 3 years ago. I put 11000 miles on it.
