My ignition buzzer only works once in great while....what is the fix to get it working all the time?

The key completes the circuit. If the key is worn or the tumblers in the ignition key core are worn, it won't make the best contact.
Generally, the cure in that case would be to replace the core and key with a new set. Sometimes a new key alone will fix it.
Another possibility would be the horn relay. It's right over the brake master cylinder. The buzzer is housed in that relay.
Depends on whether jiggling the switch or tapping on the relay causes the intermittent operation.

testing the buzzer to rule that out would be dead easy: unplug the relevant wire from the buzzer (your horns should still work & the buzzer should not... otherwise you removed the wrong wire - the buzzer terminal should be on one side, on its own. 2 terminals for horns & horn switch, then +12v in the middle, then 1 terminal for buzzer on the other side) then touch a wire between that terminal and chassis.

One more thing that I forgot to mention that's in the circuit is the door switch. It must be made, ie. door open.
