Default $100 Part... Really?

The sinking feeling I have now is that something as simple as the frame mounted bracket to which the motor mounts attach is:
a) unique to V8 cars which means I have the wrong ones for my '64
and b) outrageously expensive.

Motor mounts can be had for $25 a pair.... do I really have to pay $100 for the brackets?

Put a want ad in the classified section. I'm sure that you will get a set for much less.

As you see in the Ebay ad, they fit a lot of years.

You also have to remember that the brackets on Ebay had been blasted and powder coated. I'm sure that cost something.
