I've seen a lot of engines, and the 64-7 have all been 6 bolt. 69 and up 4 bolt. Can't remember what the '68 has.
But back to the original question. It is important to use pulleys as matching sets- Crank and water pump with the correct snouted water pump. If not, the wrong combinations are endless.

Andre, I was told at the end on the 1967 run they changed over to the 4 bolt system to acommidate the changes to the 68 on. Don't doubt what you say one bit. I know mine has the 4 bolt system and that is what I have to live with! Funny no historian has got on and debunked any of this!

Also wrote you a couple of emails about the water pump pulley and got no response back? What happened?

But, my 67 was built in the second week of July, which was very near the end of production for that year, and it is a six bolt hub.

We all know what you have is a hodgepodge of who knows what in there.
Seems to me you need to first see what engine you do have and then maybe you can call for the correct parts and pieces.

Start with this info on this site to see if you can correctly ID your combo.

True, but as John said that is by your VIN number! What does the number on the block say! The engine might have been in a crate sitting on the shelf!

Ok! You win! I just know I have 4 bolts and a few others do as well. Off a mystery.
