I see a lot of fairly nice original looking parts... KR's(I think), correct woodgrain bezel/full gauges, formula wheel, plastic clock knob, factory shifter and knob, uncut deluxe door panels, intake vacuum unit (still connected), TCS vacuum unit, nice factory fan shroud, correct fenders/core support, most factory a/c parts/brackets, nice straight tail panel/lower valance, fiberglass tail panel (guy standing is holding it), etc.

I think it was advertised on Craigslist/ebay for 5K a while back. I had offered to look at in person for someone on the board about a month ago when I was going down to the south bay to visit family, but I wound up not going.

Shouldn't a 72 have the larger clutch pedal?

It has the right "stuff" option wise. Premium color and top interior. 4 speed is huge. Gauges, Formula wheel and maybe Y99 is the top stuff. Like to see PHS for grins, and one you would want to see in person to really value, but if as described I would not sell for less than 4K as is. Probably is worth 5K as they tried earlier, but this is the dog economy too.

Wink

Tag shows Norwood built. Seems possible for lots of potential for a rebuild. I like the lack of rear spoiler...

Questions:

Formy hood vent grills have a few broken (near the windshield base) openings. Repairable, or replace whole hood only option?

Rear tail panel R & R fairly common on these?

Hello, I just joined after having enjoyed viewing the information posted on PY for the past few weeks.

I saw this thread and thought I'd post here as I have seen this car in person.

I hope that no one here purchased it in hopes of a simple or relatively inexpensive restoration. Someone used the "buy it now" feature at $5,999. In my estimation, its worth maybe half that, at most.

This car requires a list of bodywork as long as your arm: Roof is badly pitted and to the point of excessive flexing, it even has some holes in it. You're going to have to replace it. Tailpanel so badly out of shape it would be easier to cut and replace. Complete trunk pan replacement in order, you can see (yes, the fuel tank is missing!)asphalt or concrete thru it. Both lower rear quarters need to be redone, as there is rust in BOTH, not one as described. Big dent in drivers door and some major waviness in driver's side fender as well. Rust to the point of metal flaking off on the cowl in both driver's and passenger's sides, the usual place where they meet the windshield. The hood has many of the vents broken, possibly missing...
That's just what I saw from looking at it for 20 minutes. I'm sure the list is MUCH longer. In fact, it would have been quicker to say the passenger's fender might be straight.
You could buy a restored or low-mile TA for what it's going to cost to restore this p.o.s.
Someone is going to learn the lesson, NEVER buy a car sight unseen.
I hope no one on PY bought this wreck.
