What is this for?
Attached is a photo of the bottom of the driver side dash on my 66 GTO convertible. There are two fixtures located here and labeled A and B on the photo. I know the tab labeled A is used to hold the dash wiring harness to the bottom of the dash. What is the purpose of the item labeled B?

The flexible strap retains the Ribbon Harness and the tab is where the clip on the Connector end of the Ribbon clips on/into.
