Default Keep The Faith

This is a guy talking about what happened to him and his dad out on a trip, in his dad's 1960 Oldsmobile back in 1969. It's a post card from the past.

Don't make this out to be anything political because it isn't. It's only what happened to them in those times back then. Proof there were really good people back then, willing to give you a helping hand.

Reminds me of an Andy Griffith episode.

Gary,

Thanks for posting this video. It was refreshing to see and I have encountered really good genuine people to this day.

You just need to have good common sense more than ever, as it’s a crazy world out there.

Chris.

No thanks needed for me. This was sent to me by Old Goat 67. Thank Charles for sharing it. I thought it was something that needed to be passed on, and put it on the forums.

I had someone give help to me a long time ago when I had my 66 Tempest Custom and later on with my 71 Camaro, and didn't charge for what they did. I've passed it on and helped someone else.... many times in the course of my time out on the highways. And even when not on the highways.

Very nice story. Some people are not afraid to give what they can or have. I say when someone says how can I repay you? I say pass it on when you can.

I've had people help me in situations before, who never wanted payment. I always pay it forward by doing the same to someone who needs help. I ain't messin' with Karma.....

Man that’s a great story. I try to envision what SoCal looked like back in 1969. Very cool story. Thanks for sharing.

Reminded me of a few years ago when hurricane Harvey was about to hit Houston.
I was working on a project on my racecar trailer and went to the Farm store in Harrisonville MO(south of KCMO) and the parking lot looked like a boat show. I asked a guy if they were having a boat show and the guy said “NO” There is a Hurricane about to hit Houston and people are going to need help. We are headed down there shortly.
I thought damn! That’s Real America right there! Just like that Keep the Faith story.

Hello everyone
This happened to me yesterday. I stopped at the propane filling station with two bottles and chatted with a guy while he was also filling some. When I went in to pay the cashier said the guy before you also paid for yours...no idea who he was.
