Randy,

Very nice G/A. I've had 5 '78-'80 G/A's over the year's. Don't have one now but I still have my '75 G/A that I bought in '89. There's a picture in the '73-'77 G/A, G/P and Leman's section. Alway's nice to see one that's stayed with the original owner.

I've always liked that generation of the Grand Am...thought it would be fun to put a 400 in one. Anyway, very nice car.

Anyone got Pic's of the '80 model Grand Am CA prototype car pontiac had??? Saw it once in the magazines and was waiting for it to be made but never happened. Sure would like to re-create it. Looked soooo cool with the 78 later T/A scoop on it and the fender spats!!!!!!!

I've never seen that car before. Looks good. Is that a rear-spoiler on the car? Curious; is there a sight I can go to, to see more of the car? Thanks.

Get a copy of Hot Rod magazine July 1978, it's in there. They called it Dream Weaver

Hot Rod Magazine did thier own version in their Feb. 1979 issue (project Q Ship) with a car featured in their Nov. 1978 issue (Grand time)

I think HPP magazine did a reprint of that test just a couple months ago.

I wish my GrandAm looked that good. My 78 G/A came with a factory moonroof in which I need a gasket. I also need a hood. Does anybody know if any other G-Body cars have a hood that would fit such as a 78-80 Malibu or Grand Lemans? Thanks, glad to see there's other people like myself that like these cars. I only seen 3 of them including my own......Mike

Default Grand Am hood = Grand Lemans hood ??

Can't help you on the moon-roof gasket; but I know where there is a 78-79' Lemans wagon with a good hood ( at least last time I saw it). Could probably get it cheap for you. I know that the Malibu hoods won't work; they have different lines. Let me know if your interested.

Yes, I'm interested in more information. My hood has a hole cut out in it. I've decided to make it a sleeper instead. Thanks alot....Mike

Lemans hoods are perfect. 78-81?
Grand LeMans is the same only has
holes down the center for the moulding.

Thats it on hoods...and Grand Am 78-80....
