well this past weekend i picked up a set of NEW(in the box) d-port 1 3/4" heddman headers #28150, at the local swap meet for $75.
the quality looks good. collector length from the 4-tube junction to the end is around 8" or 9". question: has anyone had a problem AFTER cutting the primary tube flanges where the tubes would be independent from each other? figured it would make it easier to install. i was thinking of doing this before sending them out to be coated. thanks

Larry, I tried this once and experienced header gasket to head leaks. Went back to a new header with solid flange and it stopped my problem. Do yourself a favor and use the more expensive header gaskets with the metal impregnated in them.
