I had a coworker that called it I-Dill-brock. I corrected him and he said he didn't care that's what he called it.

I believe that this symbol "#" is a pound sign. Not a "hashtag".

I'm with 72bird; if I can understand the question, an incorrect word usage doesn't bother me.

What does bother me (and emails to this effect to our shop are cheerfully ignored ) is the ridiculous lazy abbreviations with no caps (or all caps) and no punctuation common with some of the folks that grew up with cell phones.

The letter "u" is not a substitute (at least to me) for the word "you". Not going to attempt to decipher what is worse (to me) than Kanji.

Well, at least that beats CORNER panel.

Some people go through their entire lives reusing something they misheard once.

Motoring = cruising

Actually, the lyrics are Sister Christy. It was written by the drummer about his little sister. It was sung wrong by the bass player and it stuck as Sister Christian.

Thing is, 98% of the bands out there don't know jack about cars. If you asked what their
first car was, it'd be like a 1958 Mustang with a Fuel-Injected 426. Or a 396 Cobra Jet. It's
just word salad. They heard car guys talking, and it just sounded cool.

I'm sure there are some exceptions, but for most simply making things rhyme is their
top priority.

Brian Wilson:

"One day I looked out the window and realized that I own every car on the street, and I kind of missed the days when I worked on my one car just to keep it running".

Just bumped into this one on Craigslist. Wood phenolic spacer. Sometimes they're
hardwood, sometimes they're (for lack of a more concise word) plastic. But it can't be
both. That's like saying synthetic-organic?

" The car has T-tops..." I'm sure the car has only one top. So correct slang would be "T-top".

Removable hatch roof. That's what my window sticker says.
