Hopefully a 2x4 Set up. Nothing screams Nostalgia like a tunnel ram and some AFB's.

ordered a single plane shootout with bungs from speedmaster and will use that with a 995 cfm bg race demon, also bought BBC IR setup and will modify it to fight my engine later on.

don't think fender well headers are good idea for the 62 as the fender wells are a good bit of the front frame structure.

As for power I don't know but if i remember correctly that engine ran 10.8 s with an unported ehead setup. at 3700 lbs i do have a 488 high port engine that makes 770 , and am building a 434-440 that will make over 700 that is actually what I eventually want to run in the car. I already have 421 emblems on the car and intend to paint 405 hp like they had in the sixties it's only a slight lie. He He

Tom Wilhite was experimenting with such a combo, last fall at Great Bend, Kansas. I am sure it was his first outing with the car/engine, it wasn't doing all that great.
If any of you don't recognize Tom, by name, he and his wife primarily race their red 58 Pontiac (wife, Sharon's car) and Tom drives his awesome 59 (white) car..

Instead of painting numbers consider die cast chrome to create whatever numbers you want. Here is the example from the 70-72 Corvette.

https://www.trimparts.com/5187

Other similar letters from the 67-'69 Corvettes. They both can make up 2,3,4,5,6,7,9,0. Red, black or white painted background.

The 421 emblems are some what period correct as they are 64 big car emblems so i want the hp markings to look like they did about that time with the 405 painted in a white circle. As soon as I get the engine in the car I'll post some picks and dyno numbers.

The 488 has hp heads that flow about 275 at ,800 , cr is 11.9/1 with 53 cc chamber. cam is 274 278 .775 .760 on a 108 +4 has run on pump gas with reduced timing. intake is heavily ported victor with 1195 rs king demon. stroke is 4.5 bore is 4.155 I think . diamond pistons with chamber shaped dish .043 .043 3mm rings , block was 70 2 bolt with splayed caps in 4 positions, lifter valley is filled with jb weld there is more potential in the engine I just have to cam it correctly. Reason I didn't put it in the car is because one exhaust port started weeping coolant and I haven't come up with a fix yet.

Ran my old 458 which I built 20 years ago ,( it has been sitting under the bench about 14 years ) so I threw a set of mildly ported ED's on it and so far with victor and 995 bg 581 hp and about 550 tq would like to see 600 before I put it in the car. And am going to try tunnel ram next with 2 650 edelbrocks.
