Default Carl Black Trans Am

A friend has a chance to purchase an 01 Carl Black T/A in Sunset Orange metallic. Does anyone have an idea of what added value the Carl Black name ads to the car? It's a 6 speed Cp. 25000 miles. It has all documentation from new. Thanks for any input.

They were Atlanta s version of Baldwin. They took fire hawks and TA's and added performance packages to them. Not quite sure of what it all consisted of.

On Town Center drive in Kennesaw Ga.

I worked for a competing Pontiac dealer at the time these were built. They were called 'Black Birds', not for their color but for the name of the dealership. They didn't sell well, neither did the regular TA's of that era. If it wasn't a WS6, our dealership wouldn't touch it!

I see these a future collectables as they offer considerably more performance than even the WS6 Trans Am's. They were produced only two years and in very limited numbers, only 50 each year. Typically, they bring quite a bit more than a similar WS6. You can read more here:
