Default Turbo 400 rear trans mount.

1965 Turbo 400 in a Catalina. Shop manual calls out 3/8-24 thread on the insulator to tailshaft. My car has 7/16-14 bolts. Aftermarket vendors quote a 2321 trans mount that has staggered bolt holes but the threaded holes in my tailshaft are inline ( 90 degrees) to the driveshaft. What gives? The only mount I can find that kind of fits is from Energy Suspension and it's for a secon generation Firebird.

My original T400 mount has the holes 90 degrees, too. A lot of guys use the 6 cylinder Mustang engine mount no. 2333, works well. It requires that you open the mount holes width-wise just a tiny bit.

Thanks for the info. I will look into the Mustang mount.
