Default Will pay a commission! wanted 70-72 TA (It's got to be BLUE)

It's time to get my bucket list car out of my dreams and into my garage.

A decent driver or even a restored car would work.

Air conditioning, options and a 4 speed are wished for but I am open as there were many cool combinations built.

I do understand early TAs are no longer cheap. Would pay well for the right car because very likely this car will not be resold, by me anyway.

Happy to pay a sizeable commission to anyone that could put me onto a nice car. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I am guessing you have seen the handful blue cars available on Classic Cars.com.

Yes MrG and thanks for pointing that out!

Two original type blue TAs on classiccar. The Ram Air 4 is awesome but a quarter million is beyond this boys budget. The other at Merson's looks good until the details come out. Have you seen the underside of that one? Not pretty.

Found my dream

What a great community of fellow Pontiac guys here! I would like to thank the many kind people who responded and shared.

In the end it was a member who finally after much pleading agreed to sell his 1972 Lucerne Blue, White int. 4 speed with air TA with it's original drive train still intact and without rust which happens to be exactly the combination I personally feel is the ultimate.

It did have a carb fire which was my luck as it provided the chance to have this fine machine. Also lucky for me, I know there are some kind and very knowledgeable guys here that may be willing to help me understand how to correctly put her back together.

Did that car come out of NC?

That blue 4-spd A/C car with no console looks just like one that was originally in eastern NC in the early 80s, was sold to a guy in Concord NC, who later sold it to a guy in Raleigh NC. I haven't seen the Raleigh owners in years, so he could have sold it.

Yes Poncho Mike, it did come out of NC and from what I was told had been there 30 plus years.

It would be great to track this backwards to learn about it's history. Should you or anyone else have any hints it would be greatly appreciated!

IMO, that’s the best looking year and color combo to be had. Happy you found what you wanted.....
