My 61 389 has an old style distributor. I'd be interested to know what my options for upgrading are. Will it be compatible with a 72 455 as well?

The distributors are all the same legnth and dimensions. I found that the early 63-66 are the best. The iron bodies don't wear as bad as the later aluminum bodies. The 72 will drop right in. Even an HEI will work. But, early to 64 intakes don't have the clearence for the larger HEI distributor.
