Yet in all of it, it became clear that Gary did not have a single photo of his wife on his phone - dirty or otherwise. Hmmmm

Chris, who was happier to see you when you got home - Sandra, or the dogs? At my house, it was the dog who jumped up and ran to greet me, knocking me down and covering me with kisses and making crying noises! After 34 years of marriage, I know Beth was glad to see me, but the greetings back in the early years were a lot more fun!

Thankful for a site with lots of knowledge! Thankful of my 4:45 am texting buddies, lol, and the crazy long drives we encounter. Thankful for Bentwheelbob who always treats me well and keeps us together with his awesome threads. Thankful that I fell in love with a 10 th anniversary a few years back and met my crazy friend Bobby, cause I would not be here today if it wasn't for the love of Firebirds and my new found friends.

Teri:
Couldn’t have said it better! I, too, am thankful for my friends in the “Birds Nest”. Thanks to you for the help finding a set of Rally II wheels date-coded for a 74. I’m also thankful that I got to meet Gary, Jeff, Bruce, Doug, Craig, Bobby, MPD, Tim B., Tim D., and reconnect with you, Bob, Darrell, Mike S., Shaun, Dennis, Dan, Chris, HFR, and finally, to get to meet three former owners of my car: Tom Glorioso, JIm Brown and Paul Grade. (Hope I didn’t leave anyone out!)...Oh Yeah, Courtney!

So - Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and I hope to see you all again next year!

MCACN was a fantastic trip for me. When I combine the memories of the TA Nats and MCACN with the memories of finding and purchasing my 74, this has been a great Pontiac year for me. I plan to make the TA NATs and MCACN regular events for me moving forward.

BJ

Is the building this show is on the same one that had the indoor drags years ago?

I'd say no. Not a indoor arena or column free by any means.

Maybe the Rosemont Horizon or Allstate Arena did as they have monster trucks and stuff like that there....but most likely no to there too.

They used to do indoor drag racing at the Internatinal Ampitheater on the south side of Chicago in the early 60s

Actually BJ, it was Sandra that got off the couch when I got home & had dinner waiting for me when I walked in. I'm a lucky guy.

We have a lot to be thankful for - Happy Thanksgiving to all!

These pics are great! It was an epic weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed catching up with EVERYONE! I am lucky to know you all!
It was especially fun to see Gary again after our first meeting in 1996 at the POCI convention in Moline, IL. Hard to believe that it has been that long. This show, like Norwalk, has become a must on my annual to do list. Great cars, friends, and experiences.
I also found out that BJ lives in the same town that my daughter does! (See you soon bud!)
Tim! (Ram Air) How did we miss each other this year??? I did not even know that you were there.

Thanks for a great time guys!

Happy Thanksgiving!

And of course who can forget some very special people visually telling me that I am #1 in their book!
