We got a dog from the Humane Society 22 yrs ago that was the best dog Ive ever had(Ive had many). They had put an ad in the paper about this dog, which was something they never did. I wasnt really looking for a dog as I just lost 3 within a couple of months(all unrelated causes). I told my wife to go look at him but not to bring him home until we talked about it. Well I came home after working late to find this flea and tick infested Dalamation. I asked why she had brought him home without discussing and she said he was scheduled for the chamber the next morning. After picking off over 200 ticks and a good flea bath he really cleaned up nicely.
I named him Lucky because we were lucky to have him,and he was lucky to be alive. Lucky blessed our lives for another 12 yrs and Im convinced that he was paying us back every day.
On another note the funniest dog name I know of was a friends hyper retreiver named "Dammit".

The next door neighbor had a dog named "Bitch". I laughed everytime he called the dog in.

I also knew a guy who named his black labs "God dam it" and "Jesus Christ".

I named my weiner Vinney.

My golden is named Toby but a better name would have been Kramer, he is tall lanky and slides into everything.

Name him Lucky, he's lucky you found him.

Mike
I had a black lab at one time. I tried to call her Hunter, but when she was a puppy, all I ever did was call her Puppy Needless to say she never really came to understand Hunter, so she became Hunter Puppy...

Oh, well... she was a super smart dog. She just had no common sense and that's what got her in the end. She was clever enough to get through any fence, but too stupid to realize a road with cars on it was not a safe place to be. I miss her terribly. She was a GREAT dog. Always happy to see me, never a big licker, and she was great with the kids when they were babies and pulled on her ears...

I agree with Old Blue. He looks like a Max. Or Mack. Or Bud.

I like naming our animals after car stuff.... My Dog's Name is Muncie. I see in your signature "custom 1967 firebird coupe - 1971 400 cid - 7J2 heads - 850 cfm holley - 3.90 rear - muncie M20 wide - hooker headers - RPM intake"

Could name him "Couper" ...... I don't think your neighbors would like if you called, " Hooker.... Hooker.... Get back here Hooker!!"

Since you have a 4 speed - How about "Clutch" as an option?

.
