They were built by Armbruster Stageway throughout the 1960s and into the 1970s, and still show up from time to time - someone posted a link to a 1961 airport limo not long ago. If you do a google image search on "Armbruster Stageway Pontiac" a number of images show up of stretched Pontiacs, both in sedan and wagon form.

I really don't care for modern amenities in classic cars, but I just found an
exception; wouldn't fault anyone for adding a backup camera. Ad says it's
a 389? Underhood shot suggests a more "modern" replacement.

Frightening isn't it. I worked on plenty of 53 passenger school buses with the same jelly jar single line MC. We have come a long way in that area. Lots to love in those extra big Pontiacs.
