Installing pedal pads
Hello. '66 Lemans. The parking brake pedal pad is missing. I bought a new one and tried to install it, but it didn't go well. I ended up tearing one corner, but I think it's still useable. Any tips on installation? Heat it up in hot soapy water? Use a heat gun? What works? I tried to google this and came up with unrelated answers. Thank you all.

When I replaced mine, I just put the pad on one corner of the metal plate and worked it around the plate. I don't recall using any tools, i.e. screwdriver, putty knife. It worked for me. Hope that helps.

This usually works pretty good. Heat it up in hot soapy water. The water will dry up and the soap acts like silicone somewhat.
