Im getting to be an ok wrencher but custom fabbing.. (esp motor mounting) is something I dont feel comfortable trying.. Try moving the engine 2 inches fwd that should fix the linkage problem, my problem is i have no clue on how to mount the 67 400/TH400 combo that came from a catalina into the my 83 Silverado (hence my user name "83Pontirado🤣 i know this is an old thread but maybe some one with better knowladge could help me out.

or what I used in my 78 firebird to mount older engine is a set of 2 bolt to 3 bolt mount adapter brackets. that should let you use the chevy clam shell frame pads. you will still probably have to move them since if I remember correctly the pontiac mounts are slightly forward of the chevys and one is a little more forward than the other. simply bolt everything to the engine with whatever setup you choose set it in place, mark the bolt holes and pull it out to drill. All modern gms use the same mounting angles at the frame and fan centerline. |

I found the whole mount kit for the older engine to fit the clam mounts through butler performance. Im going to try and post the screen shot because i do believe it has the part number also
