Default Fasteners really add up

We're doing a bunch of work on the Tundra (2007, 210,000 miles) and the Venza (2010, 60,000 miles). We have all of the parts. Side note, we really scored with the springs and shocks: a guy jacked up his Tundra right from the dealer so we got new factory take-off's all around.
But one thing that we did spend some money on was the fasteners. I ordered new (genuine) for all of the work that we're doing. The poor truck has been through 16 winters. We also got a bunch of the various push pins and insert/screw conditions for the body, for both vehicles So, ya over 300.00. I'm not complaining. More of a surprised observation. It's not just some nominal cost anymore.
