Inlite brake linings were made by the Inland Division of GM in Dayton Ohio, from 1918-1989 when the division was shuttered. As one of many supply divisions of GM, like Rochester, AC Delco, New Departure, Moraine bearings and so many others. They would be OE quality and likely be quiet and fairly soft by today's standards. It is almost certain they will contain asbestos, the "go to" friction material of the era. So I would take necessary precautions working around them once they become used and create asbestos dust. They should be gentle on 8-lug liners. Unless NOS parts are the end game goal, there are better, less costly alternatives out there unless you are getting a deal on these.

As a point of reference Rock Auto has a set of riveted front shoes from Wagner, a well known brand for $18.00. Their premium line Thermo quiet for $25.00. These would be asbestos free and 55 years newer.

I have used many NOS Delco shoes on my 8 lug cars with great results.
