Default 65 bonneville dash pad removal

How do you remove the dash pad on a 65 bonneville?
Seems it would make working behind the dash a lot easier.
Thanks for the help

Screws on front underside of the dash and one stud with a nut goes through the firewall. That stud is on the passenger side of the speaker if my memory serves me correctly.

There are also two spring clips, one on each end of the pad. You need to be very careful and gently pry the pad and stud from the spring clip. Very easy to crack the pad at these points. I would use a plastic pry tool and make sure NOT to do this in a cold garage. When re-installing, put just a small amount of silicone or white grease on the studs and it will slip right back into position. The clips are where the pad turns down on the ends.

There is also a stud that goes through the firewall. You have to remove the wiper arms and the cowl panel on the outside to get to it.
