Default zinc plater

Having a hard time finding a plater that is still in business and will do zinc and dichromate. Any recommendations?

I haven't used them before, but I just sent a pulley out to Detail Plating in California. Same company, I gather, as www.brakeboosters.com

We will see how it goes...

I was thinking about using them but California is in shut down mode again and don't want my parts sitting there for months on end. I was hoping to find someone on the east coast so I could bring the parts to them and pick them up quickly if that state was to shut down.

Mike Gibbons bought the business from Steve Gregori one of the best in the business. Excellent review from the Chevelle side from a few months ago Best to call and find out.

I ran into the same problem and ended up doing it myself . http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=745487 That being said, I just had Mike plate my jack stantion a couple of months ago, same great quality and service that Steve provided.

Zinc dichromate with gold irridite. It was $75 + return shipping. I believe it took about 5 weeks to get it back.

Default Zinc plater

Does this meanSteve is no longer doing power brake booster restoration? Does the new owner of Detail Plating do the booster restoration now or did he only take over the playing business?

I spoke to the new owner yesterday and he assured me nothing has changed. He is still doing the plating and the brake booster restoration.

I have a plater that will do zinc plating in clear, yellow, black, & green. They also do zinc dichromate for carb bodies.

Here is a Quadrajet they dichromated and a set of '61 Tri-Power carbs done last week. You can see the yellow zinc and clear zinc levers and linkage on the Tri-Power setup.

I have gotten plating done for several on this forum. I only take items to plate in quantity--they do not want to be bothered with one's and two's. Also, I do not clean parts for plating or dichromate. If you want some pieces done, let me know, send them, and I'll combine your parts with mine next time I go there. I typically take parts for plating/dichromate once or twice monthly. They do the work while I wait.
