1962 GP Trunk Lid Chrome Strip Clips
Where can I get the clips to reattach this chrome piece to my deck lid? It was removed by previous owner. I found it in the trunk. See pic. Thanks

Those as well as the upper quarter moulding clips are like hen's teeth. Get some small butterfly clips and bolt it on. You cannot use those clips on the quarter mouldings though. The clips for the quarters must have a O-Ring seal or you will end up with a lot of water in areas you do not want water getting in.
B.T.W.: That deck lid moulding as well as the clips for it are the same on any full-size Pontiac for '62 |

I have used dum dum in place of the gaskets on a few original clips. Seems to work.

I found these on amazon, cut the spring wire off and they work perfectly

That spring wire keeps the clip in place while installing

I’m aware of the purpose of the spring. This particular clip is too large to make use of the spring but would slide in perfectly once the spring was removed.
