Default Wiper options

64 LeMans with the wipers that have the deflectors.

One of wipers looks like the clip that holds it to the arm is broken and won't stay attached.

I plan on replacing it (if anyone has a single or pair available let me know) but before I go on a wild goose chase, are there modern wipers that will work?

FWIW; I use the TRICO Classics,
They don't have the wind deflector type but are a great fit and finished wiper blade.

Okay, I bought a pair of the Trico Classic wiper blades but they don't fit like I thought they would. They don't seem to slide all the way on. I tried to take a picture.

There are two sets of tangs on the wiper but the arm only passes the first set of tangs and hits the second set then clips in place but seems awfully loose. I can pull them off with not much effort.

Maybe I got the wrong ones?

Trinco made the original wipers so I would be surprised that the wiper blades you have were not engineered correctly. But stuff happens.

Question

Are they the 33-150? I have mine on for some time now.
Fully locked and loaded not loose whatsoever.

Yes, they are the 33-150 blades.

I noticed in your picture the release tab sets up off the arm, while the release tab on mine lay flat on the arm.

I am going to take another look at them and take some measurements of the arm if someone could take measurements of theirs to compare.

I think I see your problem.
You are trying to put the arm onto the blade the wrong way'

Yours

Jeff's

Mine

Mine are like Jeff's, there is a hole in the blade mount that receives the raised dot on the arm to keep them on.
I can see the hole in the blade mount in your picture. Your arm will then go into the blade mount up to where the rust is on your arm., which should be cleaned off.
Crappy winged blades caused that.

That's funny, I went out to look at it again and realized that's what I was doing.

Thanks for the heads up though, probably not the last time something like this will happen to me.

I will clean the arms up too.

Thanks again
