Had a good gap...until the end near the Windsheild....Fiddled and tapped ...but not getting anywhere. So go out the air saw ...and made a slit....then removed a little more metal from the slit....then with a screwdriver ,make the gap I wanted and welded up the seam. Like new now.

Yes. Looks good and should work well . I wish I could've done the same on my passenger side. Unfortunately, I bought the car apart and mostly painted. I put together and did all I could adjusting door, core support and fender and still closer than I'd like at that top point. If nothing ever moves, I won't chip paint.

Mine could use a little 'closing up' in that same area...but way past that point now.

I get cars in my shop...that the guy wants his gaps to look like Bitchin Rides gaps.....And tell captain obvious....that’s the first step you do....not the last. And those are AMD parts....they still need massaging

I had to do that with my front valance panel. It didn't fit correctly where is meets the fenders and the lower grille openings were 1/4" larger than the chrome trim.

What car is that MUSLCAH? Looks like a '68-'70 A body. The gap I'm referring to on mine is in the exact same area. It never showed until a couple months ago when I finally got around to addressing some hood fitment issues. It eventually became obvious that I needed to go back to the doors and work forward to get everything lined up.
That passenger fender had to come forward a bit as part of that and when all was said and done, that gap is a little wider than it used to be...but the hood issues are much improved along with the door and quarter glass so I'll take the tradeoff.
