Default Who wants a dash gauge Pod for their G8?

We're looking at making a 2 or 3 pod gauge cluster that can be mounted right above the center speaker below the windshield. Can whoever reads this spread the word that we're looking for input on this idea?

I'd be interested in one. There are some available from down under that are pretty pricey. Do you plan to make them with faceplates that match the main instrument cluster?

Absolutely. We are looking at making both the pod and the gauges. For the G8, the gauges would likely have black faces with silver dash matching trim.

Nice! That is one of my biggest complaints with the G8 platform - that they didn't see fit to put in some real gauges. The "Atari" gauges make it look cheap. When I got my GXP, I couldn't believe I was driving a 415 HP 6.2 liter LS3 with no oil pressure gauge.

I would like to see it with possible slightly angled to the driver for better visibility
I would also like to see the gauges be plug and play for easy installation

Is there any possibility of getting a gauge package that mounts where the Atari gauges mount? I would be interested in a stock looking upgrade, I personally do not like the look of the pods mounted to the top of the dash or the A-piller,

There are ones made for where the Atari gauges are. You can send out your bezel and get it done for like 300-400 bucks.

We're just trying to be different

Any updates on these gauge pods? I'm buying a G8 GT this weekend and am looking at stuff like this.

We will probably have pictures very soon.

We still have to approve samples and then get them produced. The gauges are a whole 'nother project too.

Thanks for the reply Eric. Just brought it home yesterday and I already hate the mid dash thingies. Can't call them gauges. Is there anything else in that display area other then the read outs for oil and amps? I didn't see anything in the owners manual. If not, what a waste of dash area. Anywho. a gauge housing with angled pods would be great there.

Pretty sure that's all they have. Our pod is going to go above the center speaker grille though.

If you want to replace the Atari gauges, look at these...
