Need 1970 codes for tranny and rear end, please!
Specifically, does anyone have a resource that shows what axle code UG and transmission code DA are?
It's a 1970 Catalina Ventura wagon......thanks! |

It's a 3-speed.....just scored a doc from the dealer book from a friend that shows the tranny checks out, as does the gearing (open).

The 69 3 speed manual is DA, I think it was the same in 70. The diff code for a fullsize 3.23 in those years is UG or VG if a STT. 3.23 was the standard axle with 400-290 and 3 speed manual with or without AC.

Yes, the DA would be correct.
It is the (Ford) Top Loader 3 speed.
