Default 1965 Tribute GTO / JOLLY GREEN GIANT.

All good things must come to an end and this is one of those things.
Helping out a good friend and Local Pontiacer Mr. Rick Holladay who has decided to offer his 1965 Pontiac Convertible for sale.

You may know of Rick Holladay from his well known Arnie Beswick Race Readied Record Setting 1965 GTO the Jolly Green Giant
as well as his success behind the wheel of many other cars he drove.

He has owned this 1965 Convertible since 1991 and over time it has gone from full stock into the modified Jolly Green Giant II you see now.
Most of the current modifications were completed in 2011.
Now we know this car has nothing to do with his past,
but it was built to be a very strong 4 speed bracket car, just that way he likes it.

So with that said Rick feels it’s time to calm down a little and retire this machine and he has asked for my assistance with this.
Rick is very old school and does not have any computer access.
I have met with him to obtain as much information on the car as possible and will gladly answer and/or get answers to anything related.
He now spends time out of state so any interested parties please bare with us as it may take a day or so to get back to you.

So heres what we have;
ENGINE;
Butler Performance 474 C/I Stock Pontiac Iron Block.
Edelbrock ported 72cc Heads.
Doug’s Headers
850 AAD Holly Carburetor.

TRANS;
Jerico DR4 Drag race 4speed,
McLeod Soft Lock Clutch
Aluminum Flywheel.

REAR;
Ford 9” with 4:30 Pro Gears.
Moser Axels.

CHASSIS;
Ladder Bar with Double Adjustable Coil over Shocks.
Pinto Rack & Pinion.
Global West Tubular A Arms.
TRZ Billet Aluminum Steering Arms
Disc Brakes.

BODY;
Light weight Fiberglass Bumpers, Hood, Doors & Deck Lid.
Plexiglas side windows

He has indicated he has somewhere between 55/75 passes on this set up.
This car is set up as a 10 sec Bracket and is track ready.
With some of his best ¼ mile passes around 9:88 @ 137mph this was at both Bradenton & Capital Raceways.
This car has been on the track as recently as last month.
He is asking $22,000.00 obo and will take all serious offers into consideration.
