Why is it you need to know the weight of these internal parts in Lbs?
What I can tell you is that the combined bob weight of a stock cast 400 piston , pin, Rod and rings comes in at 2552 grams if I recall right. The bob weight of a RAV motor would be heavier dispite a lighter Forged piston being used, and if I recall right they still used street type 5/64" rings. The RAV connecting riod was to heavy for its level of strength and that's why the factory when it got the chance and a clean sheet of paper designed the stronger yet lighter SD 455 rod.

That number would agree with the Forged Kellogg 400 Crank that went into Marty Palbykin's Turbo 406 Engine.
The rods he used were some of the best early Eagle Rods that were offered at the time, 1995-1996. Tom V.

Ram Air V crankshaft
54567 V24 $A 1969 kellog version. I bought Dave Johnson's science experiments when he was done with them. Seemed like a very knowledgeable person when it came to Pontiacs, especially before all the aftermarket pieces were available.

The V crank I’ve seen weighed more than a factory cast crank. Thanks. Calvin Hill Hill Performance 708-250-7420 |

Journals are 2.25 and if I recall the stroke is 3.850 on this particular crank.

My RA-V Crank had standard Pontiac Dimensions, except as was said, was heavier, vs a cast crank.
It was forged with some really good Kellogg Steel. Tom V.

Now you have me thinking, I went out and looked and it doesn't appear to have been turned down.

That is a good thing, the value of the crank just went up a bunch.

I was so happy to buy that crank from Dave , I carried it from the track side pits to the showcar parking lot at Norwalk. The best part is I gave him 800.00 just so I could do it.
