Great shot of the engine, especially with that coil bracket in the right place ;-)

Finally some progress on the body! Just needed a little patch work at the base of the windshield and lower rear window channel. Front fenders have small holes that will be easy to patch. Floor and trunk were great.

A friend with the same rear window issue told me had it down to bare metal, took a small piece of fiberglass mat saturated with Por 15 and layed it in the recess . I'm thinking of doing the same, but just Scotch Briting the trough fixing the rust hole area and painting the whole trough with Por 15 side to side.

More of the under body work...the heavy trans and oil pan leaks undercoated the floor and did a great job of rustproofing. Had a small patch panel in the trunk where the grease didn't reach.

Dan's assembling the front and rear suspensions (assembling the 4.11 rear end) and steering assembly to be ready to drop the body on soon. Painting Verdero Green this week!

These pictures are from the work completed yesterday...getting closer to paint, but probably next week. Dan said that there was a little more sheet metal work than I originally thought. He said there was a small driver floor section, the pass side small section of trunk floor, both lower sections of the front fenders, small sections of the lower windshield and rear window channels, both lower rear quarter panels behind the axle and drop panels, both doors, and the hood (holes drilled in the original for the homemade mailbox hood scoop)...OK, so a lot more than a knew off...I'm not there everyday, so I miss things...

That's still a relatively short list for a 50 year old car.

Frame is almost a roller now...just waiting for the front wheel cylinders. Dan most likely has the rear brakes installed today though not shown in these pics from Friday.

The brakes are finished now and a true rolling chassis and going over to Scotts (Scott Tiemann's Supercar Specialties). Motor...done. M-21...done. Paint next week!

63 Pontiac - Dan just restored the original suspension pieces and installed new rubber bushings...nothing special. The frame and suspension components were all powdercoated semi gloss.

Ahh, they looked like they might be a tubular aftermarket piece. RARE was making a rear suspension kit for the b-body cars but it's not on their website anymore.

Thanks!

Phil

The big 'B' body getting it's finish body work prior to the paint going on...finally! The chassis is ready...the 428 HO and M-21 are ready...the interior is ready...now it reassembly begins after the paint work is done.
