Where to go for Rechroming Dash Plastic Chrome
Any recommendations or recent experiences on where to go for getting the plastic dash bezel on a ‘68 rechromed? A friend used Mr. G’s years ago; I see they have a website. Anyone have any experiences with them or someone else? I think Just Dashes may do it too.
Thank you, Ron |

I just had my dash re-done by Vacuum Ornametal in Michigan. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They did excellent work with excellent customer service!

Came out real nice. I had my 64 GTO done some years ago by a company that had advertised in HP Pontiac magazine. They also did gauges over which was their main business. What a nite mare. First they lost the paint I sent them. Then it took them months to do. They had sold off the chroming part of their business to someone else and I think I was there last customer for that service. The new guy the sold the business to, wouldn't answer calls or emails. When he did he said he was having a hard time with mine and the paint match and he couldn't us my paint since he didn;t have a spray gun to use.. After about seven months I got it back the dash and none of the paint matched. I ended up repainting it myself. Chrome came out very good, but the paint not so much.

Is Mr. G's still around? I remember they used to be the "go to" guys.

I had one done by Mr. G years ago. The Vacuum Ornametal is nicer yet, plus they re paint it for you. Mr G you had to paint yourself.
